Santa Catarina Cuixtla is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. It is part of the Miahuatlán District in the south of the Sierra Sur Region. The municipality covers an area of 26.37 km².

9:00 Arrive at our base in Cuixtla’s Countryside

11:30-2:30: Hiking, Running, Mushroom Picking.
2:30 pm Traditional lunch at Felipe’s family eatery
4:30 Visit the town center to see old churches
5:30 Leave for Oaxaca City
8:00 pm Arrive in Oaxaca City
This experience will give you a full day with a local athlete and his family, in the mountains of Sierra Sur. It’s aimed at persons interested in mountains, hiking, and trail running. The experience includes a total of 5 hours of driving.
This experience will help Felipe fundraise for his athletic competitions.
The countryside of Cuixtla is an autonomous indigenous community. Our access is granted by a permission of the local authority.
