In 2023, Oax Sport Inc. continued its mission to empower athletes from the small communities of Oaxaca, Mexico, overcoming challenges and celebrating significant achievements. Our comprehensive support for athletes includes financial assistance, training, coaching, access to facilities and equipment, and management and publicity for participating in athletic competitions.

Sponsorship and Support

Our efforts this year were bolstered by the generous support of several organizations and companies:

  • Scout Design provided female athletic apparel.
  • Airbnb collaborated to offer tax and fee-exempt social impact running experiences.
  • Microsoft awarded a digital grant inclusive of software and cloud services.
  • Google AdWord offered $10,000 monthly in ads credit.
  • Canva provided 50 full pro licenses.
  • Magisto and Buffer extended generous discounts on their services.
  • Halcones CECAFID made their training facilities available to our athletes.

These partnerships have been invaluable in expanding our capabilities and outreach.

Running Tours and Races

2023 was a vibrant year for Oax Sport athletes participating in races and running tours:

  • BUO 5k: A shorter race that offered a spirited competition for our community.
  • Xoxocotlán Annual Relay Race: Encouraging teamwork and community spirit among our athletes.

Legal and Registration Achievements

In a significant development, Oax Sport was incorporated as a non-profit organization (Asociación Civil, AC) in Mexico and obtained the CLUNI registration. This milestone recognizes our activities as being in the public interest, which opens new avenues for funding and collaboration.
