Titanes Sport Clinic
Titanes Sport Clinic is an independent track and field club in Oaxaca. Oax Sport collaborates with Titanes through fundraising, competition access, athlete support, public reporting, and donor communication.
Titanes focuses on structured training, sport science, testing, race preparation, and long-term athlete development. Oax Sport supports the access side of the work: travel funding, camp support, equipment fundraising, donation tracking, and public updates.
Project Snapshot
- Project: Titanes Sport Clinic
- Type: Independent track and field club
- Location: Oaxaca, Mexico
- Coach: Uber Clain Herrera Aquino
- Events: Sprints, middle distance, distance, hurdles, jumps, and throws
- Oax Sport role: Fundraising, logistics support, donor reporting, and athlete access support
What Titanes Does
Titanes trains youth, university, and open athletes in Oaxaca. The club uses testing, technical feedback, structured training blocks, and event-specific preparation.
The Titanes approach includes running mechanics, sprint technique, motor learning, applied strength, race planning, and performance monitoring. Athletes train across events, from short sprints to distance races.
Coach Uber Clain Herrera Aquino leads the technical side. Oax Sport does not run Titanes. Titanes manages coaching, training, testing, and athlete preparation. Oax Sport supports selected needs when donors and partners make that possible.
Why This Collaboration Matters
Athletes in Oaxaca often train with limited access to competition-grade facilities, specialized equipment, travel funding, and electronic timing.
For track athletes, those gaps matter. A faster start, a better race plan, a safe trip to a meet, or a proper timing system can change a season.
This collaboration gives donors a practical way to back athletes who already train hard but need help reaching the next track, camp, or race.
How Oax Sport Works With Titanes
Oax Sport works with Titanes on specific needs. Each effort has a clear purpose, a budget, and a public follow-up when support is used.
- Travel support for key meets outside Oaxaca
- Camp access for athletes and visiting teams
- Equipment fundraising, including electronic timing
- Meals, lodging, and local transportation for selected events
- Public campaign pages and post-event reports
- Donation tracking for gifts marked âTitanesâ
Support History
Querétaro 2025
On December 6, 2025, eighteen Titanes athletes traveled from Oaxaca to QuerĂ©taro for the 4th Dragonâs Club Youth and Open Festival.
Oax Sport tracked 8,392 MXN in support for Titanes and middle-distance runner Juan Victoria. Funds supported transportation, shared lodging, race-day food, and entry fees. Athletes and families covered the rest.
What we funded: partial travel, lodging, meals, and race access.
What we did not fund: the full trip cost, salaries, long-term equipment, or unrelated travel.

Titanes Performance Camp 2025
From December 26 to 28, 2025, Titanes Sport Clinic ran a three-day performance camp across Polideportivo, CU Track, and Parque Primavera in Oaxaca.
Oax Sport tracked 12,820.72 MXN through the Oax Sport A.C. bank account during the camp period.
- 4,051 MXN: Givebutter donations designated for the Freelap timing system
- 4,000 MXN: team entry support funded by Emma through the Oax Sport general fund
- 4,769.72 MXN: athlete support and camp logistics
The camp gave athletes baseline numbers, video feedback, technical priorities, and coaching exposure. It also brought teams from the Isthmus to Oaxaca City for higher-level training.
What we funded: selected camp entries, snacks, local transportation, park entry fees, Ixtepeji session expenses, and timing-system donations held for the Freelap purchase.
What we did not fund: every team expense, every athlete expense, or all long-term training costs.

RaĂșl MartĂnez Training Block
RaĂșl MartĂnez RamĂrez is from Chahuites, Oaxaca. He trains with Club de Atletismo MV Tejones and worked with the Titanes group during a 13-day training block in the state capital from March 13 to 25, 2026.
Supporters raised $175 USD, recorded as 3,000 MXN. Coach José Mariano Velåzquez Palacios confirmed the direct costs.
- Lodging: 1,000 MXN
- Transportation: 1,000 MXN
- Meals: 1,000 MXN
RaĂșl later competed at the Regional de CONADE in Apizaco, Tlaxcala. His coach reported that RaĂșl improved his start and running mechanics. RaĂșl qualified to the national stage.

Copa Tepic 2026 Campaign
In April 2026, Oax Sport opened a campaign to help Titanes travel to the 10th Copa Tepic in Nayarit. The goal was $1,750 USD for transportation, lodging, and meals for more than 15 athletes and their coach.
The campaign did not raise enough to send the team to Tepic. Oax Sport closed the campaign and kept designated funds connected to approved Titanes athlete needs through families, coaches, or related support expenses.
What we funded: related athlete support after the team could not travel.
What we did not fund: the full Copa Tepic trip.

Current Needs
Titanes-related needs change by season, meet schedule, and athlete availability. Current and common needs include:
- Electronic timing equipment, including the Freelap system
- Travel support for key competitions
- Meals and lodging during race trips
- Camp entries for athletes from smaller communities
- Basic recovery and physiotherapy support
- Training gear, spikes, and event-specific equipment
- Public reporting, media, and donor communication
Equipment Goal: Electronic Timing
One major goal is to fund a Freelap electronic timing system for Titanes athletes.
Electronic timing gives athletes and coaches better information. It allows more accurate speed testing, cleaner progress tracking, and better feedback during sprint and speed work.
