Run With Us/A day in the sierra
Sierra Sur

Santa Catarina Cuixtla

A full day in the Sierra Sur with Felipe, in his own community. Running, walking, a meal with his family, and time in the town. What you run is decided that morning.

A group of people standing on a lookout point in Cuixtla: A Day in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca - High Altitude Run/Hike. They are overlooking a scenic view of green hills and a cloudy sky. The lookout is paved and fenced, providing a safe area to enjoy the landscape.
This is a full day, not one route
Several routes, chosen on the morning, plus whatever the season offers. Running and walking sections both, so a mixed group stays together.
Hours
06:30 to 20:00, about thirteen and a half hours door to door.
Price
Special tour, minimum 4 people
Quoted once we know the group size and the season.

What the day is like

Santa Catarina Cuixtla is Felipe’s own community in the Sierra Sur, and the day runs the way he runs it. Trail running, hiking and whatever the season is doing, decided in the morning with the group standing in front of it.

It is a longer drive than Capulálpam and a longer day at the far end of it. Lunch is at his family’s eatery, and that is where most of the day’s conversation happens.
