Since they began in 1993, the Lasallista University Games have become a key event in Mexican university athletics. The 27th edition, held in 2023, brought together approximately 1,500 athletes from 15 La Salle universities across Mexico, unified in a celebration of sports that embodies the Lasallista values: faith, fellowship, service, justice, and commitment.

Juan Victoria’s Athletic Path

Juan Victoria, a 24-year-old master’s student at La Salle University in Oaxaca, has become a symbol of dedication and excellence in athletics. Specializing in the 800m and 1500m races, Juan’s athletic strength is a result of his rigorous training, academic discipline, and the support network provided by Oax Sport.

Juan’s achievements stood out during the 2023 Lasallista University Games. He earned bronze medals in the 1500m and 800m races, along with a silver medal in the 4x400m relay, showcasing his exceptional athletic abilities. Juan expresses his experiences and gratitude: “Participating in the 2023 Lasallista University Games has been a journey of challenges and triumphs. My deepest thanks to Abelito Castellanos for his constant support and guidance. We’re only halfway, and the journey is as exciting as it is demanding. As this year’s competitions wrap up, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported me: LTF Daniel Legaria, Oax Sport, Fahad Hizam, Diana García, and Dr. Roberto García García. The journey has had its highs and lows, but with their support, I’ve been able to push my limits and improve my 800m time. This is more than a race; it’s a path of growth and continuous learning. I am forever grateful for the support and look forward with excitement to the road ahead, filled with opportunities and challenges.”
