Sport and Life Skills
Expanding access to sport, mentorship and essential resources for underserved youth in Oaxaca, so athletes can thrive on the field and in life.

What the program does
This project gives young people in Oaxaca, aged 12 to 24, access to organised sport, mentorship and the resources many families cannot cover consistently.
When sport demands an urgent expense, shoes, uniforms, transport or entry fees, promising paths stall. Structured coaching and direct support keep them going.
Why it matters
For many young people in southern Mexico, sport is a route to education, leadership and mobility. Real costs close that route quickly. This program keeps talent from being lost to a single expense.
What the program covers
- Athletic coaching: weekly group and individual sessions with local trainers
- Race access: transport, meals and simple lodging for state and national events
- Basic gear: shoes, uniforms and supplies according to discipline and need
- Life skills: mentorship in habits, goals, teamwork and organisation
Goals to 2028
- Train 40 or more youth athletes each year through structured coaching
- Keep support responsive to the calendar, the discipline and the venue
What your support can cover
Monthly support helps most: it makes planning each workshop predictable.
may help with a weekend of meals and lodging during a race
may help with entry, transport and support for a competition
may help with a month of coaching and mentoring, plus gear
