About the Route
This 11 km route previously began in Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán and climbed toward the base of Monte Albán, one of Oaxaca’s best known archaeological sites.
The route passed murals, dirt roads, steep climbs, and rugged trail at sunrise. It was designed for runners with basic trail experience and respect for local access conditions.
The route is currently paused because trail access has changed. Oax Sport is keeping this page online for route history, past runner reviews, and general information while we review safe and permitted options.
