What has changed

1 September 2026

The seven remaining program pages are live in English and Spanish: Empower Youth, Safe & Strong, Level the Field, Sports Diplomacy, Digital Storytelling, Path to Nationals and HalconesCECAFID. They are what this round is about.
Ten of the eleven programs are now on the new design. The one still waiting is Run With Us.
The vote has changed shape. It is now only about pages: whether they are accurate, whether they work on a phone, and whether they should stay as they are. Direction questions have left the poll, because they are management decisions and a committee vote is a page review.
Every question now carries its own context, which is what the committee asked for in August.

The Run With Us prices arrived. Nine routes now have a price. Two are still missing one, and Monte Alban stays paused.
Capulalpam de Mendez and Santa Catarina Cuixtla are not cancelled. They become a category of their own, day-long experiences. Both still need a price.
The routes are grouped into four categories: in the city, valleys and towns, endurance and mountain, and day-long experiences.
The committee’s August vote closed, with three responses. Run With Us was decided unanimously: publish now, without waiting for the missing prices, and add those prices later.
The other three questions gave no clear mandate. The Spanish donation page can wait (two of three), we do not publish who leads each program (two of three), and on what the blog leads with, two of three asked for more information.
The committee asked for one change to the vote itself: every question needs context, because someone who has just joined may not know what is being discussed. Future rounds will carry it.

15 August 2026

The site now asks for donations on every page except the program pages. It used to ask for athlete requests, and we already receive more of those than we can support.
The mobile donation bar opens PayPal directly, which is the fastest way to pay. Givebutter and GoFundMe stay for campaigns and monthly giving.
Athlete support requests have not disappeared. They now appear on the program pages, which is where an athlete actually looks for them.
The Spanish and French blogs now have their own sidebar, including the Candid transparency seal.

11 August 2026

The mobile menu was invisible. The links were white on a white panel, so opening the menu showed nothing at all. It affected all three languages and had been broken for five days. In Spanish nothing was readable, not even Donate. Fixed and verified on the published site.
The first committee votes came in. Three of the four questions were decided unanimously and have left the list: camp photographs will be used as the social image, the blog stays as it is, and the recipe content will be improved and connected to the programs.
Recipes are decided by the committee, but nothing is published yet: the food program needs its rules in place before it appears on the site.
We confirmed how each payment platform is used: Givebutter is the main one, GoFundMe is for campaigns, and PayPal and Venmo are for direct links.

6 August 2026

Four program pages were rebuilt and published in English and Spanish: Step Forward and Healthy athlete. All three athlete care pages are now on the new design, apart from the Angelus Fund, which already had it.
An inaccurate tax claim was corrected. The earlier English version said all donations are deductible where applicable. It now explains that Oax Sport A.C. cannot issue deductible receipts in Mexico.
The Spanish page for the running shoes program was titled Step Forward, in English. It is now Un Paso Adelante, matching the directory.
Generic photographs were replaced with real program photography, with its own alt text in each language.
Alt text was written for the twelve photographs of the shoe handover in Cuilapam, which had none. They name the athlete, Yamile Sanchez Guzman.
@braulionxs was credited as photographer where it was due: in the caption of the camp images in the media library, and with a visible credit line on the pages that use his work.
EXIF data preservation was switched on in the image optimiser. It had been stripping the credit and licence from every photo on upload.

Decisions waiting on an answer

Run With Us: the design came back and the ten English route pages are built. They are not published yet, so they are not in this review. Capulalpam de Mendez and Santa Catarina Cuixtla are listed without a price and without a Reserve button until they have one. Monte Alban stays paused.
The Spanish route pages are not built yet. They follow once the English ten are published.

What to look for when reviewing

Does the design look right, and does it look like Oax Sport?
Do the pages work on a phone? Almost all our traffic arrives from one.
Are the photographs the right ones, and does anyone appear who should not?
Is anything inaccurate, or does anything claim more than Oax Sport actually does?

Already known, no need to report it

The French pages have not been redesigned yet. They are still on the old design.
The contact form still has three fields. The five routes are described on the page but are not in the form yet.
Run With Us and Stories in the menu still lead to the old design. Programs no longer does: the new directory is published.
Ten of the eleven program pages are now on the new design. The one still waiting is Run With Us, which is built but not published yet.
No athlete testimonials are published yet. We need real quotes with consent, name, community, sport and photo.
Home and Support us do not have icons yet. The programs directory does.
The privacy notice is published in Spanish, English and French.
