Women’s Basketball Team
The Halcones CECAFID women’s basketball team is one of the most visible activities connected to the venue. The team began on July 21, 2021, and has become a strong example of women’s basketball in Oaxaca.
Coach Neto González leads the team. Claudia Tepetate is the captain. The team’s work centers on discipline, teamwork, and women’s sport.
“Being part of Halcones CECAFID is much more than playing basketball. It’s a space where women support each other and build lifelong friendships. Our last championship proved that mutual support is the key to success.”

Oax Sport did not fund all team expenses. Players, families, coaches, and other partners may still cover daily transportation, meals, personal training costs, and other needs unless a specific campaign or report says otherwise.
Oax Sport will publish a project update after the next confirmed Halcones CECAFID activity or funding cycle.

Why This Venue Matters
Sports programs need safe spaces, coaches, equipment, recovery options, and partners who can organize activities.
