Luis Fabian Santiago is a talented distance runner from San Pablo Yaganiza, Villa Alta, Oaxaca. He balances his athletic pursuits with his professional career as an accountant, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting from the Benito Juarez Autonomous University of Oaxaca. Representing the Atlethos team, Luis excels in the 5,000m and 1,500m events, with the 5,000m being his favorite distance.

What do you like about athletics? “Athletics is an individual sport where the athlete’s performance depends solely on their effort. I also enjoy the physical and mental strength it requires.”

What are your sports goals? “To improve my times in the 5km and the half marathon.”

What is your 2025 goal? “My primary focus this year is to set a personal record in the 5km event.”
